Feelin' Lucky.

At first I thought it was a Leprechaun....

...Then I just realized it was my silly Mr. Ben with not a stitch of green to be found.
Not very lucky considering today is St. Patrick's Day.
Unlucky, unless you are me.
Because if you are me, you get to pinch that little mistaken Leprechaun all the day long.
And with that too long tousled hair, toothless grin, and just a hint of snow white legs sticking out between turquoise soccer shorts and one of a kind firefighter boots, who could resist?

I'm the luckiest girl in the world.

(This is was his outfit of choice which was decided upon while I was at the school collecting Box Tops, so I will not be held responsible. I like to think I have better fashion sense than that of a 5 yr old boy. Most days anyways.)

It could be worse. My child likes to wear ensembles like this TO SCHOOL. I'm sure everyone thinks I am the worst mother out there...I let him. ;)

Great word choice, Natalie. Also, glad to know that your firstborn doesn't come to school in a similar outfit…he'd probably catch come glances.

But maybe not the kind he'd like.

At least he had clothes on. At first I thought you were going to say, not a stitch of clothing on......if that were the case, I could fashion a flag for Ben out of a garbage bag. Levi loves company!

What a cute kid! :D

And, I think the fact that he dressed himself is great. I always let my kids dress themselves, too. They are older now, so have developed a sense of style; but I enjoyed their crazy outfits when they were little. I think letting kids dress themselves encourages self identity and helps them to feel good about themselves. And besides - they are so dang cute! :D

I love his grin! It's fun seeing the combinations kids come up with when they dress themselves.

Lori, I try to intervene when it comes to school; "try" being the key word.

Gerb, I consider my self lucky times 4, 5 if you count the big one. Good thing they all take after their daddy.

TF, You should see my eldest on the weekends...
He and Ben have similar fashion sense- minus the boots, of course.

Rachel, Yeah, the whole naked thing, Ben will occasionally do that too. But that's something I think we should discourage and not encourage- they might end up like us. ;)

Corine, I practically have to pay that kid to dress himself! So on days when I don't have to help him at all, I'm not about to say anything negative. All the self-esteem and identity stuff is just icing on the cake.

Chastina, I often wonder if that grin of his will be so cute when he actually has teeth. This outfit was really a tame creation of his, but I couldn't resist with the shorts and firefighter boots.
